FESIP 2024–2025 Cohort

Floret Emerging Scientists Internship Program

FESIP is the flagship research training initiative of the Floret Center for Advanced Genomics and Bioinformatics Research. The 2024–2025 cohort launched in August 2024 and ran through July 2025. It offered a 42-week structured immersion in genomics, bioinformatics, and computational biology for emerging African scientists.

This cohort was carefully selected through a competitive process and actively engaged in technical workshops, mentored research, journal clubs, publication-oriented writing, and structured career development sessions. The program bridged academic learning with publication readiness, research rigor, and collaborative science.
